Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba that will host the national sports festival scheduled to hold between November 28 and December 10, is on fire.

A viral video of the conflagration with thick exuding smoke emanating from the combusting part of the stadium tells the story.

As at press time the cause of the fire had not been ascertained but an eye witness comically said when the picture of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar was mounted at a section of the stadium, the place went ablaze.

No government official has made a statement yet.

It would be recalled that a few days ago, a wing of a building under construction at the stadium collapse in what sources said was the result of a shoddy job although the state government through the Commissioner of Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu denies the claim.
