A Senior Special Assistant ( SSA) to Governor Okowa on Political Matters , Hon Dr Hope George has remarked that the just concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary was the most credible in the history of party primaries in Delta State.
He made the remark in a media interaction with news men in Warri shortly after his return from Asaba the PDP primary was held.
George was full of praises for Governor Okowa and the PDP Delta State Chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso for keeping to thier promise of ensuring a free and credible PDP governorship primary in Delta State.
The articulate national youth leader also gave kudos to the PDP team from Abuja that conducted the primary for standing by democracy.
He had earlier described the victory of Rt Hon ( Chief ) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as a victory for the PDP Family in Delta State; victory for employment programs in Delta State and a victory for continuation of Governor Okowa ‘ s laudable programs.
” With Rt Hon Oborevwori as governor of Delta State, Deltans should expect more .
” The other governorship aspirants were good but the PDP Family has chosen the best candidate.
” Rt Hon Oborevwori is the most accessible and popular , hence he won the primaries with such a wide margin ” he added
George also posited that the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly was the best choice for Deltans
He therefore expressed optimism that Rt Hon Oborevwori the flag bearer of PDP will record a similar feat in the forthcoming Delta State governorship election
