Low compliance on CBN Order on Weekend Commercial Banking observed in Warri

Spynewsmedia March 27, 2023

Godwin Emefelie, CBN Governor

By Ambrose Ologide, Warri

There was a low compliance of CBN order on weekend commercial banking in Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas .

Banks monitored by our correspondent in both local government areas failed to meet the expectations of customers in respect of the CBN directive .

Most customers were seen locked behind gates of the banks struggling to be attended to .

It was even worst on Sunday as most banks opened for business very late and closed very late.

Meanwhile some residents who spoke were in support of Nigeria Labour ( NLC ) threat of national strike on the naira palaver.

One of them was the National Assistant Secretary of Urhobo Peoples Integrity Organisation (UPIO ), Christian Avbarefe an engineer who noted that the strike action is the language Federal Government can understand on the issue.
