They made the pledge at a town hall meeting with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa hosted by Igbo political appointees at Jubilee Event Centre, Enerhen Uvwie Local Government Area on Wednesday 8th March , 2023 .

The President Ohaneaze Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts Chief Clement Chiedu Idama in his address explained that the pledge was in reciprocation of Governor’s patronage for the Igbos in Delta State.

Idama who disclosed that the event was sponsored by the leadership of Ndigbo Political Ambassadors (NPA), declared that the pledge was a pay back to Governor Okowa.

Hon ( Chief ) Michael Ezeh , Nze Francis Onuora , Hon Festus Ukeje and Dr Ogbonnaya Igwe ( Executive Assistant to Governor Okowa on Community Development, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Community Development , Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Political Affairs and Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Community Development respectively ) in their separate speeches appreciated the governor for his goodness towards the Igbos in the state.
