DTHA candidates pay campaign visits to Agbarha Warri League

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) candidate for Warri South Constituency 11, Hon Matthew and his counterpart in All Progressive Congress (APC ), Hon ( Chief ) Benson Obire paid a campaign visit to foremost Agbarha Warri socio cultural association, Agbarha Warri League at Igbudu Community Warri South Local Government Area on Sunday 6th March, 2023 .

Opuoru who is gunning for a second tenure as a member of Delta State House of Assembly listed his achievements so far as member of the state house of assembly.

He also promised to do more if reelected .

Likewise, Hon ( Chief ) Benson Obire listed his achievements as a former youth chairman of Otovwodo ( Agbassa ) Community, youth leader of Agbarha Warri Kingdom and the Deputy Unuevwodo (representative of the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom ) of Otovwodo (Agbassa )Community Community so far .

Obire who was a member of the defunct Agbarha Warri Community Development Committee ( CDC ) assured that if elected, he will attract positive developments to the constituency.

Both Opuoru and Obire aknowledged the political relevance of the prestigious association to the politics of Warri South Local Government Area , particularly among the Urhobos of Warri.

They therefore solicited for the votes of members of the association for themselves and the governorship candidates of their parties in the forthcoming elections .

In his brief response, the President of the association, Fuludu Edema ( MON ) made it clear that Agbarha Warri League was apolitical.

The former Super Eagles Midfield meastro therefore stated that the association will pray for any candidate that seeks for its prayers.

He had earlier commended Opuoru and Obire for the visits.

The PDP candidate was the first to pay the visit.

High point of the visits was a special prayer said for both candidates by the eldest member of the association, Elder Young Shanomi
