A member of the campaign team of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta South Senatorial District hopeful, Hon Michael Diden AKA Ejele, Hon Dr Hope George has debunked an online media report on attack on his principal.
George who spoke to newsmen in reaction to the said online report in Warri on Sunday 20th March 2022 explained that Ejele went on a consultative meeting to PDP leaders in Burutu where he said Ejele was given a red carpet reception.
While maintaining that the meeting went well, he listed PDP Ijaw leaders present at the meeting to include : Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Delta State, Hon Emmanuel Amgbadugba, Retired Bridgadier General Brodrick Demeyibo , Retired Wing Commander B Y Biakpara , Special Adviser to Governor Okowa on Environment and Marine, Hon Dan Yingi, Special Adviser on NDDC and Base Commission, Ignatius Ziakagha , Traditional Prime Minister of Tuomo Kingdom High Chief Mike Lyiobo , Deacon Arede Edeinmene , PDP Chairman Delta South Senatorial District Dr Chief Julius Taken, PDP Chairman Burutu Local Government Area Mr Ebike Oromoni among others.
George said that there was never a time when Hon Michael Diden was asked a question about his choice for the Delta State governorship in 2023 at the said meeting.
George noted that Ejele was never asked such a question because he was not in position to do so .
George also traced the base of the online media outfit to a particular area in the senatorial district where he said some aspirants had also indicated their interest in the contest.
Hope George noted that the media report was baseless and without any iota of truth.
” It is the handiwork of mischief makers who are afraid of our principal ‘ s positive antecedents and pedigree as a politician.
” We should shun politics of ethnicity and blackmail.
“We should vote for the right candidate that will attract development to Delta South Senatorial District and Ejele is the right candidate”
George therefore urged the reading public , particularly the people of Delta South Senatorial District to discountenance the said online media report on Hon Michael Diden AKA Ejele.
