Ewherido has brought pride and honour to Urhobo nation says Okoh

The National Treasurer of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU )Worldwide, Olorogun ( Hon ) Eunice Daji Okoh has said that the newly ordained Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese, Rev Father Anthony Ewherido has brought pride and honour to Urhobo Nation.

The UPU chieftain made the remark in a media chat with our correspondent on the ordination of the Ewu – Urhobo born catholic priest as bishop of Catholic Diocese of Warri in Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Thursday 9th February, 2023 .

Okoh who is a parishioner in St Jude Catholic Church GRA, Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area , stated that Rev Father Anthony Ewherido deserved to be ordained as bishop of the catholic diocese.

” He ( Bishop Ewherido ) has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Warri Catholic Diocese over the years .

” He is resourceful, approachable , and forthright .

” He is loved by all . That is why even non catholic are here in their numbers to witness his ordination.

” I have no doubt in my mind that he will take the diocese to greater heights ” she added.

Okoh however urged parishioners to give the newly ordained Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese the necessary support.

She had earlier expressed delight over the huge success of the event.
