The Bayelsa State Police Command has rejigged its security strategy to guarantee public safety during the yuletide season.
A release issued by the Command’s PPRO, SP Asinim Butswat, yesterday, said the Command will intensify stop and search operations on land and the waterways and equally enhance the visibility of Policemen in the nooks and crannies of the State.
“The Command wishes to reinforce the ban on the use of fireworks during the Celebrations. Parents and guardians are advised to warn their wards to desist from the use of any fireworks during and after the yuletide.
“The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Ben Nebolisa Okolo, fdc, reassures residents and visitors, of the Command’s commitment to ensure a peaceful celebration of Christmas and New year in the State.”
