Wife of the President and First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu placed Teachers on top list of the Workforce that contribute to building a better Nigeria.

The premium given to Teachers was contained in her May Day message to the Nigeria Workforce  who joined others across the world to celebrate the May 1st Workers’ Day 2024.

Those ranking next in order of their invaluable services to common Nigerians and building of a better nation in her personal assessment and judgement were farmers and closely  followed by medical doctors and nurses.

She also gave recognition to engineers and the totality of women who supply labour, those commonly called ‘Concrete Women’ Carpenters, Iron benders and others involved in the building of infrastructure across the country.

Politicians were not mentioned in her acknowledgement and appreciation  to contributors to building of a better Nigeria

” I acknowledge the immense contributions of our nation’s workforce which is renowned for its dedication, resilience, and innovation.

” I, therefore salute the teachers who nurture young minds, the farmers who cultivate our land, the doctors and nurses who safeguard our health, the engineers who build our infrastructure, and countless others who dedicate their skills and energy to building a better Nigeria.

” Today, let us not only celebrate work but also reflect on how we can be a better and more productive workforce.

” On this Workers’ Day, I celebrate the spirit of work with pride. May it continue to be a source of strength, prosperity, and national progress for Nigeria.” She said.
