The Word of Salvation Miracle Centre Ministry (WOLSAMIC) will on
Saturday, Nov 27, hold a 50 million naira fund raising ceremony for
the building of an ultra modern church cathedral.
The event will hold at the Church’s premises; Ekiugbo Junction, by
G-luck Hotel, Ekiugbo-Ododegho old Road, Ughelli, at 10am.
A statement issued by the building planning committee and signed by
Mrs Francis Iyamu (Chairman), Mrs Favour Lucky (Secretary) and Madam
Afure Ochuko (Treasurer) said the event will hold under the distinguished chairmanship of Hon Chief Orogun Joanathan (former secretary to Patani LGC and presently S.A to Governor Okowa on localgovernment affairs).
The statement added that that Hon Yaike Yellowman (former supervisor
for Agric, Patani LGC and presently a member of the governing board of
College of Education, Agbor) will function as the vice chairman of the
occasion; while Deaconess Gladys Abugo, Health Educator in Ughelli
South LGA will be the Chairlady of the day.
Hon Chief James Augoye, Delta State immediate past Commissioner of works and
Hon Chief Godwin Adode, Executive Chairman of Ughelli North LGC are
both expected as special guests of honour, just as Prof Arthur Ekpekpo
of the Delta State University, Abraka will be the guest of honour.
In a remark, the Chief Host and General Overseer of the church,
Prophet General (Sir) Abel Okwori prayerfully called on members of the
public to join hands to make the event a success saying: “He that
builds a house for God will have his fortune established forever by God (1 Chronicles 17 ; 12)
