* CP orders arrest of suspect

A student of Ogwashi-uku polytechnic has been shot dead by a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria ( NGN).
The suspect identified as Peter Ike was said to have shot the student dead in his room while reading to prepare for examination.
The victim was identified as Peter Eyorowalebo, 29.
The incident happened on Wednesday, April 30 at about 930am, Police First Information Report says.
Following a distress call over the incident, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of Ogwashi-uku mobilized to the scene of crime and found the victim in the the pool of his own blood. He was later taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The body of the deceased has been deposited in a mortuary for an autopsy and the suspect has been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID for discreet investigation.

The Commissioner of Police ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations of the CID to take over the case to ensure a thorough investigation.
The CP assured that no stone will be left unturned as investigation on the crime proceeds, a statement issued by Command’s PPRO, SP Edafe Bright said.
The CP consoled with the family of the deceased and assured that justice will be served.
