Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor-elect

The governor-elect of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori has remarked that Uvwie Kingdom is a reference point for peaceful co-existence and mutual understanding.
This was contained in his goodwill message to HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom on his 15th coronation anniversary .
The goodwill message read in part “In the past decade and half, Your Royal Majesty has impressed with your leadership, acumen, strength of character, and sense of purpose .
” You have displayed uncommon statesmanship as the traditional ruler of a dormain that is home to different tribes and tongues .
Uvwie is home to me, and I believe I speak the minds of many when I say that your kingdom has become a reference point of peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding. ”
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly in the goodwill message also celebrated the highly esteemed traditional ruler.
His words ” I celebrate your vision and desire for the progress and wellbeing of your people.
” As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that the next fifteen years will witness the actualization of all the dreams that you have in your heart for great people of Uvwie Kingdom.
” Even more significant, may you reign long in good health, strength, wisdom and prosperity.”
The governor -elect of Delta State siezed the opportunity to expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for his fatherly advice and moral support in the course of his (Rt Hon Oborevwori ) electioneering campaigns.
” They were very encouraging, and I will certainly need more of such from you to succeed as governor ” the message added.
Etched r’ Erovie appeals for rehabilitation of Uti Road
Meanwhile, the Etche R ‘ Erovie ( traditional adminstrative unit ) in Uvwie Kingdom has appealed to the Delta State Government for rehabilitation of the highly deplorable Uti Road , Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area.
The appeal was contained in the address presented by the Unuevworo ( traditional mouth piece ) of the traditional administrative unit, High Chief Sunday Agbugbu(JP) during the ongoing visit of HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom to traditional administrative units in Uvwie Kingdom as part of activities making his 15 coronation anniversary.
Agbugbu noted that the poor state of the said road has adversely affected the socio/ economic life of the area.
He also noted that the road was a major link between the ever busy PTI and Effurun Otokutu roads in the local government area.
The MD / CEO SOMENI Nigeria limited had however lauded HRM Abe 1 for the peace and progress in the area on ascension to the throne .
He also appreciated the Uvwie monarch for the creation of the traditional administrative unit.
The colourful event, featured the rich cultural dances of Uvwie and Udu people as the respected Uvwie high chief hails from Udu Kingdom maternally .
Ugbolokposo people were not left out of the epoc making event as Ugbolokposo Community is located in Etche R’ Erovie , in Uvwie Local Government Area.
The Uvwie monarch in his brief remarks lauded and appreciated the people of the traditional administrative unit for their warm reception and presentation of gift items.
