Renowned philanthropist , Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh has bagged a meritorious award from foremost Ughievwen Non Government Organisation ( NGO), Uhurie United Union ( UUU ), for her enormous contributions towards Ughievwen Kingdom.
The award of ‘ Women Ambassador ‘ was given to her in a colourful occasion at Otu – Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area at the weekend.
The Chairman Board of Trustees ( BOT ) of UUU , Chief Freedom Ayoma in his brief speech before the presentation of the meritorious award, attested that Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh has positively touched lives of many Ughievwen sons and daughters in politics , business and employment .
” We are giving this award in recognition and appreciation of her immense contributions to the growth and development of Uhurie sub clan of Ughievwen Kingdom and indeed to humanity ” he added.
Chief Ayoma also explained that UUU was formed to empower people of the sub clan of Ughievwen Kingdom , to foster unity and also attract development to the area .
In her response, Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh who contested for the Ughelli Udu Federal House of Representatives Constituency seat under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP } in the last party primary, lauded UUU for its aims and objectives.
She noted that those that have been contributing their quota towards rendering assistance to Ughievwen sons and daughters will gladly support and identify with UUU.
She then donated an handsome amount of money towards the laudable aims and objectives of UUU.
Okoh had earlier expressed appreciation to Uhurie United Union (UUU ) for considering her worthy for the award.
She vowed that the award will spur her to do more for Ughievwen Kingdom and humanity .
The National coordinator of UUU Chief Francis Vevakpor who spoke to news men remarked that Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh was truely a philanthropist and a kind hearted mother .
High point of the event was the presentation of a plague of the meritorious award to Olorogun Eunice Daji Okoh by the President of Uhurie United Union UUU, Olorogun Samson Janugha .
