Stop distracting President Tinubu, group tells feuding Rivers and Kano states’ politicians

President Bola Tinubu

By Jon Egie

Tinubu Shettima Administration Support Group, TSASG has called on politicians in Rivers and Kano states to stop distracting President Bola Tinubu from delivering his mandate to the people of Nigeria.

National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Felix Akpoyibo gave the advice while reacting to  ongoing feud between the immediate past and sitting governors of the two states.

He said a careful study of the political situations in Rivers and Kano states infers that the President would be distracted from fulfilling his campaign promises to Nigerians, if proper action is not taken to arrest the ugly development.

“Studying the political leadership style and activities of immediate past governor of Rivers and Kano states, Nyesom Wike and Dr Abdullahi Ganduje respectively would not license a call for crucifying them nor provide opportunity for creating crises using their names. These immediate past governors shifted a lot of political grounds to accommodate and pacify the prevailing political situations.”

He noted that the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is very powerful but President Bola Tinubu  has given so much room for political understanding which unfortunately, politicians and other political actors in the two states have taken for granted.

Rather than continuing the raging political crises in Rivers and Kano states, TSASG called on all interested parties to sheat their swords, cease fire and emulate states like Delta, Oyo and Ekiti that handled their political matters and differences, if any, with maturity.

” We therefore use this opportunity to call on all individuals who are causing political unrest in these two states to desist forthwith and give President Tinubu the chance to galvanise and make Nigeria work again.

“We also use this medium to commend Mr President for his smart approach towards resolving the forex crisis and steering the Ship of State of Nigeria to a stable economic environment that will benefit all Nigerians

” We urge the President to ignore the antics of politicians and bad elements that aim to distract him from delivering his mandate and fulfilling the promises he made  to Nigerians during the  2023  campaigns .
