Over 100 youths of Delta State origin are set to trek from Warri to Asaba, Warri to Lagos and Warri to Abuja in solidarity with the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and Bola Ahmed Tinubu who are both contesting the governorship of Delta State and the presidential election of Nigeria respectively.
The youths under the platform of Delta Residents Network, will be led by Comrade Felix Akpoyibo and Lucky Dikadi.
Satisfied with the performance of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the senator representing Delta Central who they described as having performed creditably well by attracting various landmark projects to his Constituents and Delta State at large, and with so many youths empowerment, they are convinced that given the opportunity to be the governor, Delta State would wake up to assume it’s rightful place in the comity of states in Nigeria.
“Delta State which, for now has been so undeveloped by the Okowa PDP led government shall heave a sigh of relief with Ovie Omo-Agege as governor.”
The youths said Tinubu as governor of Lagos State (1999-2007), attracted so many local and international investments to Lagos and worked with the best economic team in Nigeria that have remained relevant till date.
“Consequently, we want the youths to give him a chance, irrespective of his age, and support him to be elected as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023. The issue of his age should be ignored considering, especially the persons of Joe Biden and Donald Trump who are both approaching 80 years and have performed well in the United States.
“We are not extremists that kill Lesbians and participate in the killing of gay youths, rather, we rehabilitate them for the fulfilment of the Nigerian project.
“We invite all youths to participate in the Tinubu/Omo-Agege Trek Project. The Warri-Abuja trek will signify power shift to the South, the Warri-Lagos trek signifies the economic revival of Nigeria and the Warri-Asaba trek signifies Omo-Agege victory in Delta.” They said.
