Youths of Uselu N’Ahor Village, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State have passionately appealed to the Benin Monarch HRM Oba Ewuare II and the State Government, to save them from what they termed: the excesses of their Enogie, HRH Osaro Omoregie.
Speaking on behalf of the youths, Michael Enotiomwan accused the Enogie of persistently terrorizing them with all manner of actions to stampede them from the Village, for reasons best known to him alone.
He told our reporter weekend, that the situation climaxed about a week ago when the mercenaries he imported into the Village attempted the life of one Eric Enotiomwan shooting at him; and two others. The victims are now lying critically ill in the hospital, he said.
No less than 13 bullets have been extracted from the body of Enotiomwan, he added.
Further, he narrated that acting on the pronouncement of the State Government on activities of Okaighele (youth leaders) in Benin Kingdom, the Enogie imported these strange faces in replacement.
But contrarily, they have been going about operating activities of the banned Community Development Association (CDA), causing the people pain and tears.
Worried consequently by the prevailing situation, which they felt was injurious to the peace and development of the Village; the youths tried to stop the Enogie’s squad led by one Best Osasu in one of their operations.
During the ensuing quarrel one of the Enogie’s boys who they alleged is a jail bird, opened fire on the youths of the Village.
Also speaking, Lucky Omosumwen corroborated the narration of Enotiomwan.
“Since occurrence of the unfortunate incident, Enogie Omoregie has not made any effort to peacefully resolve the situation.
“Instead, he and his group has fled the Village and has resorted to feeding the public lies, blackmailing the youths in the media.”

The Enogie is accused of unilaterally selling the farm land of the natives, after collecting the sum of N5,000 from them to enable him appropriately map and share amongst them, and the Village.
But ended up not doing what he promised.
“Even before now, our elders have pleaded with him to work for the good of all and allow peace reign in the Village, but he would not listen.”
All attempt to reach Enogie Omoregie for reaction was not successful, as at the time of filing this report on Sunday.
