A Police Special Squad deployed by the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi to Ughelli to contain the activities of armed robbers and kidnappers terrorizing Ughelli, Warri , Sapele and environs has arrested three suspects, all resident in Sapele.

The suspects who were identified as ” “Blessing Atima aged 23yrs ‘m’ of Jesse Community in Ethiope West LGA of Delta State (The Gang Leader), Destiny Okpako age 19yrs a 23year ‘M’ of Oviri-Okpe Community in Okpe LGA of Delta State and Wisdom Akpohirowho aged 20yrs ‘m’ of Jesse Community in Ethiope West LGA of Delta State,” a police e statement issued by the Command’s PPRO, SP Edafe Bright said.
The Special Squad led by ASP Julius Robinson on Wednesday, June 5 stormed Sapele prompted by credible intelligence on the suspects and successfully arrested the suspects today, Friday, June 7.
The suspects were said to be involved in recent criminal activities that terrorized Sapele residents.
” Items recovered from them include: one Beretta Pistol, one locally cut-to-size gun, three Cutlasses, Phones and ATM cards belonging to victims. ” The police statement said.

” Some of their victims have identified the suspects and their valuables recovered from them. Interrogation of the suspects revealed that they have so far taken part in six of armed robbery operations in Sapele. The suspects are in custody, and the investigation is ongoing. ” The statement added.
