Operatives of the Commissioner of Police Special Assignment Team, CP-SAT, have shot dead two suspected ‘hoodlums’ during a gunfight, late last month, 28th October.
The Operatives had in a stnge operation stormed a criminal hideout along Uwheru – Patani Road In Ughelli North LGA, and were ambushed by the suspected hoodlums.
A fierce gunfight between the hoodlums and police team ensued during which two of the suspects sustained bullet injuries.
A statement issued by the Delta State Police Command PPRO, SP Edafe Bright said one Beretta Pistol loaded with two(2) rounds of live ammunition, and one AK-47 rifle loaded with six(6) rounds of live ammunition were recovered.
The suspects who initially suffered bullets wounds sustained from the gunfight were taken to the General Hospital, Ughelli where they were confirmed dead.
” Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were allegedly responsible for terrorizing Warri – Sapele Road, Mosogar axis some killings in Oghara and Ughelli.
