The alleged serial killer identified as Michael Ezenwai was arrested while attempting to sell the cell phone of the victim he killed during a robbery operation on Thursday, October 23, 2025 in Agbor.

During the robbery operation his victim, Christabel Egedefe, 26, resisted parting with the keys of her motorcycle and he shot her dead, collected her phone and left.

The next day he attempted to sell the phone and in the process the police was informed of the move to sell a suspected stolen phone. The DPO of Agbor then mobilised Operatives to the scene of sale and immediately arrested the suspect.

On interrogation the suspect lied that he bought the phone in Libya. His claim was however punctured when a call came through the phone and the caller stated that the phone belonged to her sister.

Operatives proceeded to the given address of the caller and there found the owner of the phone, Christabel, dead in her apartment.

A First Information Report (FIR) issued by the Command’s PPRO, SP Edafe Bright linked the suspect to the syndicate that raped and murdered one Uwaila Omorzua, a 200-level student of UNIBEN who was murdered in a church where she went to study in preparation for examination in 2020.

According to the report, the suspect has also been involved in a jailbreak when he escaped from Oko Correctional Centre during the EndSARS protest in 2020.

Meanwhile, a randy cleric of Omega Prophetic prayer ministry in Sapele was alleged to have been engaging in defilement, rape and sexual molestation and assault of unsuspecting and vulnerable members of the church.

The cleric, Pastor Daniel Ololo was arrested on Monday, November 17, in the church premises following a petition to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda.

Investigation so far revealed that the cleric allegedly used fake prophecies to lure vulnerable church members to his office, coerced them into believing that if he did not have sex with them they would not be thoroughly delivered.

He was also alleged to have had carnal knowledge of three sisters of the same mother who are his church members, the last being a 17 year old girl, an underage in the eyes of the law.
