Ekene Okonji aka Galaxy, notorious criminal who terrorized Ibusa community has been arrested by the police.
He was arrested last Friday by a team of anti-crime patrol attached to Ibusa police division and anti cult volunteers during a routine patrol.
A release issued by the Delta State Police Command’s PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe said
“upon searching the suspect, one locally made cut-to-size short gun, seven live cartridges were recovered. ”
Suspect is currently in custody and investigation is ongoing, the release added.
Meanwhile, the Command Raiders Operatives have arrested six suspects namely; Sunday Okafor Destiny, Stephen Osamota Pius and four others for cult related activities. One locally made cut-to-size double barrel gun, six expended cartridges and one 9mm live ammunition were recovered.
In Sapele, a combined team of policemen and soldiers successfully quelled the unrest in Ugboren community emanating from the community leadership tussle.
Men of the Sapele division in concert with soldiers of 91 battalion carried out a raid during which two suspects allegedly contributing to the unrest were arrested and two FNC assault rifles recovered,
