The Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Tega Onoyake, the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom Ogurimerime Ukori 1 and Uvwie born renowned Catholic priest , Rev Father Edmond Emakpor have hailed HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom over the positive rapid transformation of Uvwie Kingdom .
They made the commendation in their separate speeches during the interdenominational church service that marked the beginning of activities of the 15th coronation anniversary of the Uvwie monarch at the posh palace of the traditional ruler , GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday 4th April, 2023.
The highly distinguished trio spoke volumes of the highly esteemed traditional ruler since he ascended the throne of his forebears 15years ago .
The number one citizen of Uvwie Local Government Area Hon Onoyake remarked that his royal father has always fougth for the betterment of Uvwie Kingdom and her people.
The Uvwie Local Government Council boss applauded the Uvwie monarch for the building of a permanent palace and the establishment of a scholarship scheme for indigenes and non indigenes in Uvwie Local Government Area.
Onoyake also hailed the wife of the traditional ruler HRH Queen Patricia Sideso JP , the Nene R’Uvwie of Uvwie Kingdom for her support for Abe 1.
Similarly the monarch of Agbon Kingdom, Ogurimerime Ukori 1 was full of praises for the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the rapid transformation of the area .
He remarked that Abe 1 preached and fought for peace.
The Ovie of Agbon Kingdom also remarked that the Uvwie monarch was an asset to the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Urhobo Traditional Rulers Association.
On his part, Sapele based Uvwie born Catholic priest, Rev Father Edmond Emakpor gave the Uvwie monarch a pat on the back for his love for God as he noted that this was the secret behind the rapid positive transformation of Uvwie Kingdom.
He also scored the Ovie of Uvwie high on the relative peace in the area.
Rev Father Edmond Emakpor recalled that before the just concluded general elections , Abe 1 held a peace meeting with stakeholders as he noted that the peace initiative of the traditional ruler paid off as could been seen in the outcome of general elections in the local government area.
In his response, Abe 1 said among other things that there was need to sustain the peace inorder to attract more developments to the area.
He emphasized that education was his foremost priority.
While stating that he does not discriminate against non idigenes , the traditional ruler charged non indigenes to contribute their quota to the development of the area.
The event featured intercessory prayers by renowned clergymen for Abe 1 , Uvwie people , the local government council , Delta State and Nigeria.
High point of the epoc making event was a special thanksgiving by Abe 1 assisted by the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council Hon Ramsoega Onoyake,the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom Ogurimerime Ukori 1and other distinguished guests.
