Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Uvwie State Constituency of Delta State House of Assembly seat , Chief ( Hon ) Chief Bernard Onobia, has called on Muslims resident in his Constituency of focus to disregard the rumour that the governor, HE, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has endorsed a particular aspirant for the seat of Uvwie in the 2023 DTHA election.
Chief Onobia made the call while felicitating with Muslims on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Eid-El-Fire featival.
He said that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the state party learshiip has not endorsed any aspirant in the contest.
adding that Governor Okowa and the party leaders have assured that the forthcoming party primaries will be free, fair and credible .
While calling on delagates to vote wisely ; vote for an aspirant that is grassrooted, accessible and that will be responsible to their needs.
Onobia stated that he was tested and trusted as a former councilor and community leader ” that is why the whole Enerhen Community is behind me in this contest ” he said .
He promised to positively affect the lives of the people of Uvwie and attract development to the area.
He also assured that he will introduced employment programs outside politics if given the mandate to serve Uvwie State Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly in 2023 .
Enerhen Community born political icon therefore appealed to the delegates to vote for him , saying that they will be happy for doing so .
