Tompolo Press Center building

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori will officially commission the Tompolo Press Center today, Friday, June 27.
The governor will perform the task of cutting the commissioning tape preceding the hand over of the facility to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Warri Correspondents’ Chapel.
The center was built, furnished and donated to the chapel by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
The event tops series of activities mapped out in celebration of the 2025 Press Week of the chapel.
A lecture and award presentation ceremony will precede the commissioning ceremony.
The theme of the Press Week is , “Fight Against Oil Theft: “The Impact of Private Security and Role Of The Media.”
The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Prof. Ezekiel O. Agbalagba will be the Chairman of the occasion while the Executive Director, Technical/Operations, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Captain Wariedi Enisuoh, will speak on the theme of the Press Week.
The center is named after Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo in recognition of his immense contributions to the completion of the project.
The chapel also appreciates the efforts of the Managing Director, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi, at ensuring that the project came to reality.
The center is at par with the NUJ press center in Asaba and promises to provide services to journalists and members of the public resident and in transit to the Warri axis of the state.
