On or before Friday next week, February 23, a list of units of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, that can operate independently with minimal supervision will be submitted and compiled as the Commission is exploring the possibility of relocating certain units from Abuja to Lagos.
The initiative is driven by the need to enhance service delivery, reduce operational costs, and lake adequate utilization of the Commission’s assets in Lagos.
This information was contained in a Memo issued on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 by Dr Kelechi Onyekachi Ofoegbu (EC CS&A) to EC F&A, EC E&AM , HSE &C, EC D&P, EC ER&SP, HGA; all units of the Commission and sighted by Spy News.
According to Dr Kelechi, the Memo is in line with the Commission’s objectives of improving organizational efficiency, driving industry growth, and managing office accommodation in Abuja.
