Don’t panic, Delta Command tells public

Delta State Police Command has called on members of the public particularly residents of Ogwashi-Uku, not to panic following shooting event slated for tomorrow, Sunday, February 15 as part of the ongoing 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, tagged ASABA 2026.
A statement issued by the Command’s PPRO, SP Edafe Bright said the shooting event will hold at the Base 31 Police Mobile Force Shooting Range, along Kwale Road, Ogwashi-Uku.
The event is scheduled from Sunday, 15th February to Thursday, 19th February, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
The exercise will involve the controlled use of firearms strictly within the designated range, the statement said.
“All necessary safety and operational measures have been put in place, hence members of the Public are urged not to panic.
“Access to the immediate vicinity of the range will be temporarily restricted during the period of the event. Residents and road users are advised to comply with all safety and traffic directives.
“The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Aina Adesola, assures the public of the Command’s commitment to safety and professionalism and appreciates residents’ understanding and cooperation” ,the police statement enthused.
