Chief Nani who is a serving Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, assured of delivering dividends of democracy to his constituents, if elected.

Addressing journalists shortly after the declaration, the politician said his final decision to declare intent for the Senate Seat race was in response to the pressure mounted on him by youths of the Senatorial District who believe in his capacity for adequate representation, reassuring that he would not disappoint them if supported to win the election.

Nani who has the appellation of Agwhemutuwevwi (Bread winner) of Idhere kingdom

told reporters, ” I am going to be there at the National Assembly in a representative capacity and any man who is in a representative capacity is a trustee of Dividends of democracy to the people,”

He said whatever he would say or do at the Senate would be at the behest and mandate of the people he will represent as a Trustee.

Having considered himself qualified for the seat, he said it was pertinent for him to present the matter before God starting with the traditional ruler of Idhere kingdom, Udurie 1, the Ovie of Idhere kingdom and his palace chiefs for royal blessings.

Also speaking to journalists, Chief Solomon Ojariafe , who is the Unuewvoro (Spokesman) of Idjerhe Kingdom said the kingdom was overwhelmed with joy and satisfaction that one of their own has indicated his interest to represent the Urhobos at National Assembly.

He prayed to God almighty to make the ambition of Nani come to pass and expressed confidence that Nani would perform creditably if elected.

He called on Urhobo people to give Nani the needed support to succeed in his political ambition.
