HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, the Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Tega Onoyake, students have lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the establishment of Effurun Modern Technical College, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area.
The commendation was contained in their separate speeches during the commissioning of Effurun Modern Technical College Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on on Tuesday, 14th March,2023 .

” We are sincerely grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of the 9 modern technical colleges awarded by your ( Governor Okowa) in the first phase of revitalising technical colleges in the state.
” We are aware that Effurun Modern Technical College was the last to be awarded among the 9 colleges, but like the biblical saying : The last shall become the first.”he added
On his part, the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Tega Onoyake in his address, stated that : ” I want to sincerely express our profound gratitude for counting Uvwie Local Government Area worthy to have this modern technical school situated here .

” You said it and you did accordingly.
Indeed you are the ‘ Ekwume ‘ of Delta State ” he added.
A student of the technical college Miss Joy Lolo-West , spoke in the same vein as she also assured that the students will make good use of the technical college.
The Governor , Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in his key note address, stated among others that he was grateful to the Uvwie monarch for the provision of land for the building of the technical college.
He also lauded the Uvwie people for providing an enabling environment for the building of the technical college.

Governor Okowa however stressed the need for the expansion of the technical college.
To this end , he assured that that will be stated in his handover note to the next governor of Delta State ” Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori” he added

The Uvwie monarch in an media interaction with news men expressed delight that Governor Okowa started and completed the project.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom charged management , staffs and students to make use of the technical college and to also maintain it.
The Secretary of Uvwie Council of chiefs , , Dr ( Chief ) Samuel Eshanake JP and a palace chief of the Ovie of Uvwie, Chief Sunday Popo in a separate media chats with newsmen hailed Governor Okowa for his patronage of Uvwie Local Government Area.
