* Commends Delta State Solicitor General for initiative

The Ughelli zonal office of the Ministry of Justice has held a one day capacity building workshop for law officers in the area.
Head of the zone, Mr Peter Daubry used the occasion to commend the state Solicitor General, Mr Omamuzo Erebe for the initiative of the capacity building workshops that impact on their careers with a view to exposing them to various aspects of their profession.
He stated that the motivation for the programme was to build the skills of the staff of the zonal office in appreciation of what the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Mr. Erebe was doing for the Ministry by replicating same in a little way at the zonal office.
The Ughelli zonal head , however, admonished participants to utilize the opportunity, adding that any knowledge acquired was useful.
The resource persons including H. N Edevbie , Esq and T R Anuhwin , Esq, both Deputy Directors in the Ministry exposed participants to key areas of their practice such as the Admissibility of Confessional Statement under the Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2022.
Other area which the resource persons focused on was the steps to effective prosecution and defence in criminal and civil trials.
Some legal officers of the zone, Mrs. Ofejiro Yusuff , Mrs. Timi Brisibe, Zonal head Otu-Jeremi zone, and Tambou Brisibe, who spoke at the end of the capacity building workshop, pledged to put the knowledge gained into use as they appreciated their zonal head for the gesture.
They also appreciated Erebe for his role in reshaping their understanding of the legal profession as they agreed that since the inception of the Ministry, they have never had it so good like this before now.
The training was attended by some members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) from Ughelli Branch .
