* Used proceeds to build a 15-room duplex

A Kidnap suspect who posed as an internet fraudster has been neutralized by Operatives of the Delta State Police Command.
The killed suspect whose identity was not immediately released by the Police was said to be one among others neutralized by the police recently in Abraka in an encounter during which, one AK-47 assault rifle was recovered.
A release issued by the Command’s PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe said the DPO Abraka Division later led Operatives to comb the surrounding bushes of the encounter where some of the suspects escaped into.
The team, upon thorough search of the bush, recovered two AK-47 magazines, 52 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and found out that the slain suspect used proceeds of kidnapping escapades to build a 15-room duplex around Orogun in Ughelli North local government area while he pretended that he was a successful internet fraudster ( yahoo boy).
In a related development, two persons (male), identified as Philip Ekugbe and Onome Irikefe linked to series of car jacking in Asaba, Warri and Ughelli environs have been arrested by the police.
The arrest was sequel to series of reported cases of the crime prompting the State Commissioner of Police, CP Wale Abass to direct the Area Commanders and DPOs of the impacted areas to respond to the situation.
Rising to the occasion, the DPO Ughelli Division closely supervised by the Area Commander Ughelli, ACP Adebayo Ademola, on Thursday, June 15, acting on intelligence, arrested the two suspects, both of Ekpan community in Effurun. They were said to specialize in snatching vehicles from Warri and environs, take them to Ughelli where they disassemble and sell the vehicles in parts.
74 vehicle tyres, 16 vehicle engines, eight gear boxes, 15 motor batteries, two motorcycle engines and seven suspected stolen vehicles have so far been recovered.
The vehicles include one Toyota Corolla with reg. no. AJ 638 EFR, Toyota Carina with reg. no. WW 748 SL, Toyota Corolla with reg. no. DU 60 LSR, Toyota Corolla with reg. no. WWR 799 AE, Toyota Corolla with reg. no. KSF 758 DC and one unregistered Nissan car. Suspects are in custody, and investigation is ongoing.
