On Wednesday, 12 October, 2022 a new set of executive to run the affairs of Iyowa Village, in Ovia – North – East Local Government Area, Edo State, was inaugurated after the dissolution of the former, by Odionwere Samson Ederaro Obazee.
The Benin Monarch, HRM Oba Ewuare II on Thursday, 22 September, 2022 affirmed Pa. Obazee as the Odionwere of Iyowa Village after three years his predecessor, Pa. Gabriel Obazee passed away.
Consequently, upon assumption of office, he installed the new executive to join him in the implementation of his outlined programs for the continued development and growth of Iyowa.
Elders Council:
Pa. Samson Ederaro Obazee; Odionwere, Sunday Igbinawahia,(21c ), Joseph Osarenkhoe, Isaac Edo, Paul Onaiwu, Andrew Enekhizena, Emmanuel Omoragbon, and Hon. Rueben Owie
Hon. Reuben Owie is Elders Council and the Community secretary; Michael Enekhizena – Assistant secretary; Imariagbe Ikponmwosa – Public Relations Officer; while Chief Henry Imadiyi, Ohiukpo of Iyowa (Priest).

Urging the new executive to be selfless in the task ahead, Odionwere Obazee adds that they must be proactive and committed to assigned responsibilities always.
Also, submit to constituted authorities and the laws of the land.
Addressing the gathering, he asserts his administration has began work to positively impact lives in Iyowa with the restoration of electricity and abandoned market, already receiving attention.
He asserts; it was his resolve that no life will be lost to unnecessary violence in his tenure; appealing, everyone should join him in the quest to renew development of Iyowa in a peaceful environment.
As he assures his administration will be an open and all inclusive one holding no bitterness against anyone; with the past forgotten forever. This is as he pleads for unity of purpose, amongst the people.
Odionwere Obazee stated that anyone who has built in Iyowa, is automatically part of the natives and is expected to actively participate in activities of the Village, without any discrimination.
Incidentally, the Odionwere is the second offspring of Obazee to have assumed the position in Iyowa Village, after his predecessor.
