* What you fear is afraid of you, the Cleric exhorts

Christians have been charged to identify their potentials and assert the spiritual authority given to them by God to pull down every evil altar that is negatively affecting their lives.
District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pipeline Area, Ughelli; Pastor Paul Onoroha gave the charge, today, Sunday, May 21, during a homily he presented during the church service.
Taking his texts from the Bible books of Luke 10: 19, Acts 1: 8, 2 Cor 10: 1-5, Ephesians 6: 9-15, Jer 1: 4-7, Isaiah 54: 17, Isaiah 28: 18; he said when Christians realize that they have power derived from the name of Christ which is above every other name, of things in heaven or on earth, to do exploits; that is when they could use that power to uproot and pull down every evil altar and strongholds affecting their lives.
He enjoined Christians to identify the power of God in them and be courageous to rise up, in prayer, and confront the evil limitations in their lives without wasting time, otherwise the evil would confront them in future.
But in doing that, they must first submit themselves to the authority of God, live in the fear of God and put on the armour of righteousness so that they would be able to stand up against the devil’s tricks, for they fight not against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers of this dark age.
“You can’t give your lives to idols and expect God to help you” he said and pointed out that with the power of the word of God in their mouths, the armour of God and wearing the breastplate of righteousness, they would be able to resist the attacks of the enemies and devil would flee from them.
The Cleric revealed that so many people’s destinies are tied to trees and other secret places but again reassured that no man can hold down the destiny of a praying Christian for any one who attempts to do so ” will go down”.
He reiterated God’s assurance that no weapon fashioned against Christians by the enemy would hurt them as God would fight for them and give them victory, stressing that any treaty any Christian unknowingly entered with death will be abolished and every evil agreement with the world of the dead will be cancelled.
“When you identify that you have power that is when you can pull down evil altar.
“What you are afraid of is afraid of you. Whatever you cannot confront today will meet you at the front. You have power to root out and pull down every evil tree affecting your life”.
“God has given us power that is above all evil. But you can’t give your life to idol and expect God to help you”, he added and supported the exhortation with the Laban and Rachael episode as recorded in Gen 30:15, Gen 35:18
The Cleric specially warned that any man named by a woman, even if she is the mother, does not succeed in life.
“The woman can suggest a name but the father pronounces the name. ” He said and urged all within that influence to change their names.
