Eid-el-kabir: Jauro calls for sacrifice to overcome Nigeria’s challenges

The Seriki ( leader ) of Arewa Community in Uvwie Local Government Area, Alhaji Suleiman Jauro has urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice in order to overcome the challenges facing the country.

Jauro who is also a member of Muslims Welfare and Pilgrims Board, Delta State made the call in a media interaction with news men shortly after the Eid Mubarak ( otherwise known as eid-el-kabir ) prayers at Ogbe Secondary School, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Saturday 9th July, 2022.

He reasoned that the Muslim festival symbolises the sacrifice exhibited by Mohammed and that sacrifice was a key solution to the problems of Nigeria ‘ s problems.

The Arewa leader seized the opportunity to appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his patronage for Arewa people in the area.

” We have never had it so good. His Excellency appointed me as a member of Muslim Welfare and Pilgrims Board.

” Scores of Arewa people in Uvwie have benefited from my appointment.

” This is just one of the numerous good things he has done for us .

” We cannot thank him enough ” he added

Jauro also appreciated HRM Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the usage of Ogbe Secondary School for prayers during Muslim festivals and for not discriminating against Arewa people in his rulership of Uvwie Kingdom.

He was further full of appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council , Hon Ramson Tega Onoyake, the member representing Uvwie Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Solomon Ighrakpata , Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Sapele/ Okpe/ Sapele Federal House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections , Chief Evelyn Oboro for patronizing the Arewa people in Uvwie Local Government Area.

Jauro thanked the highly placed personalities for their good will messages during the Muslim festival.
