Edo State University Uzairue has announced the elevation of two members of Staff to the rank of professorship and three others, to associate professorial cadre in the University.
In a statement issued and signed by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Betcher Ekhosuhun, Esq, the Vice Chancellor Prof Emmanuel Aluyor, in a Senate Meeting held Tuesday, 6th September, 2022 announced the promotion of five University’s Staff to the rank of professorship and Associate professorship, respectively.
The Vice Chancellor stated that the exercise was in line with the University’s tradition of promoting excellence, hard work, and dedication to duty.
Amongst the promoted, are Professor (Mrs.) Florence Masajuwa, Ag.Dean; Faculty of Law, and Professor Musa Abidemi Muhibi, Ag. Dean; Faculty of Applied Health Sciences.
Those promoted to the Associate Professorial cadre include; Dr. Seriki Samuel Adinoyi of the Department of Human Physiology; Dr. Memudu Adejoke Elizabeth of the Department of Anatomy; Faculty of Basic Medical Science, Dr. Isreal Uzuazor Siloko of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics; Faculty of Sciences.
The Vice Chancellor while congratulating the newly elevated staff for their hard work and dedication, and contribution to the services of the University, however charged them to continue to give their best at all times.
Also, it was announced that the management of the University will be organizing her Post-UTME exercise for the admission of students, for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The exercise is slated to hold on Thursday 8th, September 2022 at the school’s e-learning center by 9:00 am.
The University Management will be providing temporary accommodation for applicants coming from far places, who may not be able to return back to their homes immediately after the exercise on Thursday, it was said.
All intending students who scored a minimum of 140 in the last JAMB UTME, are to visit the university website on www.edouniversity.edu.ng to apply, as resumption for studies for the 2022/2023 academic session has been slated for Monday, 17th of October 2022 for fresh students, while old students will return to campus on 24th of October, 2022.
The admission exercise is also open to candidates who did not initially select Edo State University as their first choice during the UTME, and those who wish to transfer their studies from their current University to Edo State University Uzairue.
Applicants who are yet to formalize their change of University are encouraged to apply, as Edo State University has opened a desk at the screening Centre to assist students in this category to facilitate their applications.
