A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Orogun Chief Dr Immanuel Ogobene has described Delta State under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as a Construction Site.

Chief Ogobene made the remark while fielding questions from Spy News in his country hole at Imodje -Orogun where he recently empowered his political followers, Harmony Political Family Women Wing, with cash gift.
He said with the swathe of construction work going on across the state almost every community in Delta State will feel the impact of government presence and enjoy the dividends of democracy in the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
According to him, the spate of construction work done so far and still ongoing by the Governor is enough to showcase an excellent achievement scorecard in the assessment of his first year anniversary in office.

Consequently, he called on political novice and those intending to go into active partisan politicking to make the intelligent choice of following a political leader who has the penchant of carrying the people along because ” Nobody works for nothing”.
He lamented that so many political followers and supporters waste their resources placing their loyalty and political affiliations on wrong footing that would yield them no benefits at the end of the day and compared such persons to a patient who knows he has a terminal disease but still goes for medical treatment.
Ogobene said before the year 2022, the location of his country home was a forest but within a year of his tenacious support for Sheriff Oborevwori he enjoys the comfort of a beautiful country home and the expectation of a network of roads around his native Imodje community.

” What else could be the benefits of politics?” He asked.
Asked if the recent homecoming of the immediate past Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege posed a threat to the chances of the PDP in 2027, Ogobene said he was not aware of the homecoming of any such individual and reassured that the spate of infrastructure development embarked on by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was a guarantee for a smooth return of the PDP to power in 2027, and if possible beyond 2031.

“Governor Oborevwori has been working with the 2023 budget when he begins to implement the 2024 budget, opportunities for economic benefits will be opened for almost everyone and people will be happy.” He enthused.
