The Delta State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice Asaba, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe has restated the resolve of the Ministry in ensuring that all State Counsels have an indepth knowledge of the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2022.
Erebe stated this in Warri during a two day capacity building workshop for State Counsels in the Delta South and Central districts at the Government house Annex, Warri.
He stated that the Law had several innovations designed to improve the Administration of Criminal Justice System in the State.
The Solicitor-General stated that the primary objective of the workshop was to build capacity of state Counsels on the provisions of the Law.
He stated that capacity building of State counsel was important, noting that the Ministry placed high premium in the continuous development of its staff.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, some participants including the Zonal Head of Ughelli Zonal office of the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Peter Dabry and his counterpart at the Sapele Zonal office, Mr. Harward Edevbie commended the Ministry for organising the workshop, which had greatly impacted positively on their knowledge of the Law.
The participants also commended the immediate past Attorney-General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo and the Solicitor-General/ Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe, for their efforts in assisting in the reforms and innovations in the Administration of Justice in the State.
