Delta State new Attorney-General, Mr Ekemejero Ohwovoriole Esq has assured of his readiness to ensure that the Oborevwori’s administration adhers by the rule of law.
Ohwovoriole gace the assurance in Asaba when he assumed office at the State Ministry of Justice as Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice.
He said that he was elated to have been called upon by the Governor to serve in his administration
He expressed satisfaction by the mandate given to him by the governor to serve and promised to do his very best to achieve the ‘MORE’ agenda in the area of Justice delivery.
The Attorney -General said that he would build on the foundation and achievements of his predecessor, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo, SAN for the overall benefits of the state government and Deltans in particular.
While saying that he would prioritize the welfare of staff of the Ministry, Mr. Ohwovoriole solicited their support and cooperation to enable him succeed in his assignments.
Ohwovoriole recalled that the State Governor had during their swearing in, emphasised the resolve of his administration to ensure that the Administration of Criminal Justice Law and the Administration of Civil Justice Law played pivotal role in the policy direction of his administration.
Earlier, the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Omamuzo Erebe, who presented two (handover notes) to the Attorney -General, officially welcomed him to the Ministry and pledged the unwavering commitment and support of the staff of the Ministry.
Erebe said that he has transmitted the affairs of the Ministry to the Attorney -General, adding that he had been overseeing the affairs of the Ministry since May , 2023 when the tenure of the former Attorney -General elapsed following the end of the Okowa administration.
The Solicitor-General reiterated that the Governor was very keen on the Administration of Criminal Justice Law and the Administration of Civil Justice Law, explaining that there was also the need to hand the over to the Attorney -General.
