Benin Monarch expresses confidence in Nigeria Postal Service

The Benin monarch, HRM Oba Ewuare II has expressed confidence in the services of the Nigeria Postal Service, saying its viability cannot be over emphasized.

The Monarch made this known when he received the first female director of the Nigeria Postal Institute, Egor, Edo State, Mrs. Salome Irowa to his Palace.

The Royal father who described the services of Nigeria Postal Service as vibrant, urged the Federal Government to encourage the agency for optimum service delivery to the country.

He also plegded the Palace support for the Agency’s director, to succeed in office.

Earlier, addressing the Monarch the director said she was in the Palace to seek Royal blessings and prayers also, support to help her excel in her duties, noting that the long peace the Institute enjoys in Benin was due to the Monarch’s excellent rulership.

The director further, appealed to the Monarch to partner with NIPOST for the issuance of commemorative stamp that would help promote the rich cultural heritage of Benin kingdom; as home of culture and tradition in Africa.

Highlight of the event was presentation to the Monarch of stamp compendium from the year 1914 to 2014, by the director.
