APC women leader reassures of her capacity to deliver

National women Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Mrs. Mary Alile has boasted of her capacity to efficiently deliver in her new office, according to the expectations of everyone.

As she asserts; “I am ready for the task ahead; I am not called ‘Capacity’for nothing!

“Let me assure you that by the grace of God, I am going to deploy the capacity I am known for, in a dimension yet unseen.”

Dr. Mrs. Alile made the assertion while addressing the gathering of party leaders, members, and supporters in a reception organized in her honour by the Edo State APC in Benin on Thursday, 31 August, 2023.

She returned home from Abuja for the first time since she was appointed into the exalted office by the National Executive Council of the Party, a couple of days ago, into a waiting crowd of ecstatic party members and supporters.

The national women Leader assured of her readiness to work for the good of all particularly the women folks of the APC, to help actualise the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda.

Towards this assurances, she rolled out her planned agenda promising to do things differently to positively impact the women folks of Nigeria particularly; of the APC.

“The game must change for women, and I want to be the game changer,” she declared.

“Therefore, I intend to see that women are better motivated for the tasks expected of them.

“They need to be dealt with as partners with men and not inferiors.”

She said one of her immediate concerns was the orientation of the women folks in politics particularly, those of the APC on the need to be dynamic in mobilising support for the party.

“Though with due acknowledgement of the huge role women have been playing in mobilisation during elections.

“But we can do better, with proper understanding of the means and ways to achieving better results.

“One of my cardinal objectives is to foster unity amongst us (women), mechanisms for conflict resolution shall be deployed to stop division (s).

“We shall see to it that cracks are minimised, if not totally eradicated.

“I intend, on behalf of the women to engage the party, pursuant to increasing access to rewards for women at all levels; from the Wards to the national level.”

Appreciating President Tinubu for his recognition of women and love for increasing their number participating in his administration, the national women Leader however appeals for further increase of the number to over 35 percent.

In carrying out her constitutionally assigned duties, Dr. Mrs. Alile promised she would operate an open door and all inclusive administration.

“I am not an island metaphorically speaking, and I will not operate as one!

“I intend to operate an open door policy whereby the women folks of our party, and of course, the gender sensitive men, can have access and audience, for the sharing of ideas that could be of help to all of us.

“Anyone with useful information, advice, or proposition, will be welcome!”

Stating her awareness of the first Lady; Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s hard work to advancing the cause of the Nigeria woman, Dr. Mrs Alile promised to collaborate with her.

“As the national women Leader, I intend to work collaboratively with the First Lady to promote the interest of the Nigeria woman.”

Appreciating the APC leadership for the confidence reposed in her abilities, she promised not to disappoint in anyway expected of her performance.

“I promise to act in accordance with the guidelines for my office, and the general expectations of being a team player, in the interest of the Party and the nation.”

Dr. Mrs Mary Alile hailed from Evbodobian – Evboiyoba in Orhionmwon LGC area.
