The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State has lifted the indefinite suspension hitherto slammed on Cyril Ujagughe, Chairman, Ward 8 Esan-North-East Local Government Chapter.
The Party’s State Publicity Secretary, Prince Peter Uwadiae made this known Saturday in a press release and availed the media in Benin, the State Capital.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby informs the general public and members of the party, particularly in Esan North East Local Government Area, that the indefinite suspension previously placed on the Chairman of Ward 8 has been lifted with immediate effect.”
Lifting of the suspension follows the conclusion of investigations by the panel constituted, to review the allegations against the Chairman, it was said.
“After a comprehensive and impartial inquiry, the panel found the allegations to be baseless and without merit.
“In line with democratic best practices and the principles of fairness and justice, the Chairman has been cleared of all allegations and has been directed to resume his duties as Chairman of Ward 8, Esan North East Local Government Area with immediate effect.
“The party appreciates the cooperation of all stakeholders during this process and reaffirms its commitment to due process, internal democracy, and unity.”
