A young man whose identity was not readily disclosed has been arrested and paraded by the police for attempting to buy an AK 47 assault rifle.

A release issued by the PPRO to Delta State Police Command, SP Edafe Bright disclosed that the young man confessed that he was a member of Vikings confraternity and that he was vying for the number one position of the cult group and a prerequisite for that ambition was to own an AK 47 assault rifle.

So he embarked on the journey of owning the assault rifle. But while he was to buy the weapon for N1, 300, 000 (One million, three hundred thousand naira) he was arrested by the police.

In subtle moralization the Police image maker said:

“Its starts with bad friends, then migrate to internet fraud, cultism, aquiring of arms, and finally when yahoo stop paying, they migrate to kidnapping and armed robbery.

“He said he belonged to vikings confraternity and was vying for number 1 position and the condition to get the position is to own an AK-47 rifle. He was arrested while negotiating to buy the AK-47 rifle for #1,300,000 naira.”
