Tinubu Shettima Administration Support Group, TSASG, in a terse statement issued on Wednesday, March 13, condemned the action and obvious complicit of Northern leaders towards insecurity across Nigeria especially in the northern part of the country and hence charged the leaders to stop playing politics with issue of insecurity bordering on threat to people’s lives and properties.
National Coordinator of the group, Hon Felix Akpoyibo issued the statement from Benin while reacting to the recent abduction of 280 pupils of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school Kuriga, Kaduna last week Thursday.
The group said the continous kdnapping of school children is no longer acceptable to Nigerians and rather than intensifying efforts aimed at rescuing the school children who had been in captivity for the past seven days, Northern leaders were busy chasing issues relating to budget padding.
TSASG recalled that during President Jonathan Administration a similar incidence happened when 200 girls were abducted from Government Girls School, Chibok and till today, the victims’ entire families are still in pains. The Buhari Administration also witnessed such dastardly act and now the pattern has been repeated in the Tinubu administration.
“It is obvious that the recent abduction of 280 school pupils: 187 from the Government Secondary school and 125 from Local Education Authority primary school with 25 returning, is an attempt to destabilise the Tinubu administration and we charge all security agencies: NSA, DSS, the military, police, civil defence and others to probe further into the major school children abduction episodes in Nigeria in the last 15 years, since the motive and perpetrators of the crime may be fueled from the same source.
” We want to warn that any attempt to destabilise Tinubu Administration with the same unholy criminal pattern will be highly resisted by youths of the South-South.
“We also call President Bola Tinubu not to be distracted by the action of the evil elements since they might be working across border with other sister criminal organisations to bring Nigeria down.
