Operatives of Delta State Commissioner of Police Special Assignment Team, CP_SAT have gunned down six criminal suspects at a hideout near Ununurhie village along Ughelli-Patani Road.
The Operatives in a sting operation, raided the hideout belonging to one Solomon Danisco alias Picolo which harboured seven other suspects including Nelson Jacob, Oruma Saturday, Olise Jude, Precious Urhobowin and Whisky Rufus aka Asawana.
The suspects engaged the police in a shootout but were overpowered by the superior firepower of the police.
All named six suspects sustained serious gunshot injuries during the gunfight and gave up the ghost while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Two other members of the gang who survived the gunfight were at press time receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

Exhibits recovered from them include four locally-made guns with 19 rounds of live cartridges.
Meanwhile, the police in Asaba recovered N5million ransome money from a kidnapping ring kingpin identified as Sanusi Abdulahi who has allegedly been responsible for a series of kidnappings at Ibusa, Ogwash-Ukwu, Obulu-Okiti, Isele-Ukwu, Isele-Asagba.

He was also allegedly involved in the recent kidnapping of a young lady at Ogwash-Ukwu last week.
Four other members of the gang were later arrested by the police on the prompt of Sanusi to their hideout in Asaba..
Investigation on both cases is ongoing said the Delta State Police Command Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Edafe Bright, in a statement.
