Nigeria Christians Network has described the ongoing Olympics games in Paris as the beginning of the Games of Satan.

In its latest Newsletter titled The “Satanic games” have begun
and published today, Sunday, July 28, 2024; NCN cited the biblical warning contained in
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3. Without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4. Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—
5. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
The Network noted that the Olympic games opening ceremony has been denounced by many believers as a mockery of Christianity and a celebration of transgender ideology. It has led to the description of the ongoing Olympic games as the satanic games.
” Many Christians have started dubbing the ongoing Olympic games in Paris the Satanic games. The opening ceremony in Paris has caused anger within the Christian community because of its ridicule of Christian symbols and identity.
” Believers from across the globe have commented that several parts of the ceremony mocked universally recognizable works of art associated with Christianity. One such performance featured transgender performers appearing to re-enact ‘The Last Supper’, the renowned painting of Christ and his apostles by Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.
Another episode that was seen as mocking of Christianity was a rider on a pale horse parading along the river Seine. This was seen as a reference to one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse – the one representing Death – in the biblical Book of Revelation.

The repeated presence of transgender individuals and drag queens at the ceremony appalled many users. For instance, three drag queens were among the torchbearers who carried the Olympic flame as it made its way to Paris.
Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has labelled the opening ceremony “extremely disrespectful to Christians.”
