The Department of State Services, DSS, and national chairman All People’s Congress, APC, Abdulahi Umar Danguje have been called to carry out in-depth investigation on the trending leaked voice conversation between a PDP chieftain in Delta State and another unknown person revealing a boast by the PDP chieftain alleged to be a former lawmaker that the Delta State Government has the capacity to influence the judgement of the appeal filed by the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo Agege to the Supreme Court and how the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State allegedly intimidated the Appeal Court vis avis the federal government to give judgement in favour of the PDP candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori affirming his election in the March 18 guber election, after a threat of unleashing violence across the nation should the Appeal Court judgment favour the APC.

The call was made by the National Coordinator of Niger Delta Youth Emerging Initiative, Comrade Felix Akpoyibo in a statement issued today, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in reaction to the trending audio clip.

Although the audio clip could not be independently verified, the voice claiming to be that of the PDP chieftain and former lawmaker said the initial verdict was in favour of the APC candidate, three days before the judgment was given by the Appeal Court, and when the PDP learnt of the direction the pendulum would swing, they quickly swang into action threatening brimstone and fire should the judgement be given to the APC .

In the clip the voice purporting to be that of the PDP chieftain told his interrogator that he was now domiciled in Abuja to ensure a smooth influence of the Supreme Court judgment saying that the PDP in Delta State have that court in it’s pocket and adding that what they feared was the Appeal Court because the Appeal Court was the most corrupt institution in Nigeria.
