The suspects who were identified as Moses Musa ‘m” 27, and Kelin Isah'(m) were intercepted by the police on routine patrol on Monday, June 5 at about 1230hrs, and on sighting the patrol team fled into a nearby bush.

But one of the suspects, Moses Musa was arrested with a locally made pistol and a live cartridge while the other two suspects escaped into the bush.

Suspect confessed that he is from Kogi State, and that the three of them were specialized in POS robbery and he has been identified by a victim whose motorcycle was recently snatched at gun point along Oghara/Mosogar Bridge.

The suspect is in custody, and investigation is ongoing, said the Delta State Police Command in a statement issued by the Command’s PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe[the_ad id=”16918″]

Meanwhile, two suspects who had been terrorizing Agbor and neighbouring communities have also been arrested by Operatives of the anti-crime patrol unit of the Agbor Division of the State Police Command.

The two suspects: Collins Anthony, 34 and Stephen Goddey, 30,both residents of Agbor Town were arrested with a locally fabricated cut to size pistol with one cathridge.

Investigation is ongoing too, the PPRO said.

He added that the arrests were payoff from stop and search operations regularly carried out by the Police along highways, emphasizing that the Operations are for the collective good of members of the public as criminals have changed tactics to boarding ‘Keke’ believing that innocent passengers in such vehicles would complain if they were stopped and searched.

“But that is the new way of their operations and we are out to bring them to book and therefore appeal to members of the public to cooperate with us while carrying out our duties”, the PPRO said
