The president general of the apex socio cultural body in Uvwie Kingdom stated this in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at his office, Uvwie Hall, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area on Tuesday 9th May , 2023 .

He explained that the call was necessitated by the danger of pedestrians crossing the ever busy junctions.

He applauded government for barricading the Jakpa Junction for a two traffic ways, noting that the barricade had drastically reduced traffic holdups in the area.

Erute therefore suggested that the barricade should not be removed until a flyover/pedestrians brigde is constructed at Jakpa Junction, Effurun.

Speaking on the PTI Junction, Effurun he observed that high tension wires could cause an obstacle to the construction of a flyoverpedestrians brigde in the area.

Erute therefore suggested that the high tension wires should be buried underground to give way for the execution of his suggested projects.

He also noted that the construction of a flyover at the PTT/ Osubi Junction , Effurun will ease the constant traffic jam in the area.

Erute had earlier questioned why the Warri /Uvwie Urban Renewal Agency did not consider the construction of the said projects.
