Abe 1, is a royal pace setter says Unuevworo of Ugboroke

Chief Godwin Ejumi leading others in dance to welcome the monarch

The Unuevworo ( traditional mouth piece ) of Etch R ‘ Ugboroke ( traditional administrative unit ) in Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Godwin Ejumi has remarked that HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom is royal pace setter.

Ejumi made the remark in his welcome address during the visit of the highly esteemed traditional ruler to the traditional administrative unit on Saturday 8th April, 2023.

The visit was part of activities making the 15th corronation anniversary of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

The Unuevworo of Etch R ‘ Ugboroke also remarked that the reign of Abe 1 has brought monumental progress to the area and that the traditional administrative unit has also witnessed peace since the emergence of the traditional ruler.

Ejumi recalled that the Uvwie monarch commissioned a health centre in Ugborodjo and a bank in Ugboroke in 2022.

He then expressed confidence that the reign of Abe 1 will continue to attract more positive developments to the area.

Ejumi was also full of praises for the wife of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRH Queen Patricia Sideso JP the Nene R’Uvwie of Uvwie Kingdom for her tremendous support for the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

An elated Abe 1 in his response, thanked the people of the traditional administrative unit for the red carpet reception accorded him and his entourage .

He prayed that Uvwie Kingdom should continue to enjoy the blessings of God.

He however warned that hoodlums in Uvwie Local Government Area should desist from their evil acts or relocate to elsewhere.

Abe 1 then urged law abiding indigenes to distance themselves from hoodlums and their families and also compose songs of riddles in Uvwie dialect of Urhobo language against them.

The event featured cultural dances of various ethnic groups from students of Ochucks Academy, Ugborikoko.

High point of the event was the presentation of expensive gift items to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom by Chief MacDonald Ugbewanku on behalf of the people of the traditional administrative unit.

The Isirera of Etch R ‘ Ugboroke , High Chief Francis Ovie Oghomitse and a counsillor in Uvwie Local Government Council , Hon Maya Omafume spoke to, newsmen and praised the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom for the visit.
