Niger Delta stakeholders have been asked to initiate moves for the outright dismissal of suspended chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ms Lauretta Onoche, from the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
The call became necessary following recent events that exposed her uncouth behaviour and unpatriotic activities that tend to sabotage the development goals of the region.
National Coordinator of Niger Delta Emerging Energy Initiative, NDEEI, Comrade Felix Akpoyibo dropped the hint in a statement made available to Spy News.
Ms Onoche was recently suspended from the APC over allegations of anti-party activities.
According to Akpoyibo, Ms Onoche who is the Chairman of the Board of NDDC does not reflect the true character of the people of Anioma nation who he described as “very good people”.
He said having ridden on the trough of the APC to attain enviable heights and enjoyed unlimited favour from the presidency for the past seven years,Ms Onoche did not exhibit the desired loyalty that would attract development to the Niger Delta region, even after being appointed as Chairman of the NDDC Board by the APC led federal government.
Rather, she teamed up with cabals to deny the Anioma people the needed leadership assistance required during the just concluded presidential election to enable the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu win Delta State, and overtly supported the PDP, thinking that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would emerge president.
“She was part of the cabal that fought Tinubu and APC during the currency and fuel crises. At 60, Lauretta Onoche exhibits juvenile manners that cannot be imagined. Even at the NDDC, she causes commotion to the entire management; hijacking duties of the MD and others. She looks down on everyone that comes her way and has become a nuisance and bad representation of the Anioma people in particular and a thorn in the flesh of the entire people of the Niger Delta and therefore, merits to be discarded.” Akpoyibo said.
