Chief Abovi Hope Erute

The President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union( UGIU ), Chief Abovi Hope Erute has lauded Delta State governoship elect Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
He made the commendation in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent on the victory of Rt Hon Oborevwori in Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area at the weekend.
Erute who bears the the title of Oviemo of Uvwie Kingdom remarked that Governor Okowa truly understood the politics of Delta State.
” That was why he ( Governor Okowa ) was fully in support of Delta Central producing the next governor of Delta State and Uvwie / Okpe axis of Urhobo Nation producing his (Governor Okowa) successor, which was the right thing for him to do . And God will bless him immensely for taking the right decision .
It is the turn of Uvwie / Okpe axis to produce the governor of Delta State in Urhobo Nation ” he added
The President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU ) had earlier congratulated the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly for the victory .
He noted that the victory was well deserved.
He also remarked that the landslide victory was an indication that Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori was accepted by Deltans.
” Though Delta Central Senatorial District did not vote hundred percent. I am not surprise after all, it was said in the holy scriptures that a prophet is not valued in his home ” he added.
The Oviemo of Uvwie Kingdom however stated that with the laudable achievements of Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly for the past 5 years ” he will live above the expectations of Deltans as governor of Delta State. ” he stated.
