The Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese Rev Anthony Ewherido, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Uvwie Constituency in the forthcoming general elections, Odafe Emakpor, a lawyer, the Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa , the Secretary of Uvwie Traditional Council, Dr ( Chief ) Samuel Eshanake ( JP ) , Uvwie palace chief , Chief Sunny Popo were among those that felicitated with HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe 1 the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom on his 15th coronation anniversary on Saturday 18th February, 2023.
Bishop Ewherido message of good will was contained in a thanksgiving mass service he conducted for the highly esteemed traditional ruler at St Jude Catholic Church GRA Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area. While the messages of felicitations of Akasa ,Emakpor , Eshanake and Popo were contained in a separate media chats with newsmen at the reception of the event that was held at the ultra modern palace of the traditional opposite the catholic church.
They remarked that the event was a joyous one not only for the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom but for the entire Uvwie people.
They enjoined Uvwie indigenes and non indigenes alike to continue to support and pray for the Uvwie monarch.
The elated traditional ruler in his brief remarks gave thanks to God for the event.
He recalled that he was crowned on the 18th February, 2008 and that he was grateful to God for celebrating the event in good health.
Abe 1 stated that the event was low key and that the actual celebration will commence on the 4th April, 2003 because of the forthcoming general elections.
He charged leaders of all the parties in Uvwie on a peaceful elections.
The Uvwie monarch proudly recalled that Uvwie was adjudged the most peaceful in Delta State in the last general elections.
He then charged them to record the feat again in the forthcoming general elections.
He had earlier expressed appreciation to the newly ordained Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese for honouring him with the thanksgiving mass service.
